He is correct, the tuning programs are very expensive from Bosch. You need special cables only available from Bosch, etc...its the equivalent to an early 90's/late 80's MoTeC setup.

As to it being a 993GT2, that would be incorrect. The 993GT3's used a standard Bosch Motronic, same as the 993 Turbo and Carrera's. The 993 GT2 EVO's used a stand alone manufactured by a company in England. We just had one rebuilt as it failed on us...for the life of me I can't remember the manufacture. So that rules out standard GT2's and GT2 race cars (EVO's) as I have handled both and neither are orange.

Bosch has sold stand alones for years and there is a very good chance that its just one of those units. Its really not worth much...best bet is to put it up on Ebay. You'd have an easier time emulating chips for standard Bosch Motronics than you would tuning this. Think SUPER ADVANCED.

What? I was asking why you needed software, if it's an ECU I thought it would already be programmed, and you wouldn't need to "tune" it. That's why I asked, I was just curious. I don't know anything about it I was just trying to learn...

Whats the name of your company that you work for?

Stack built the gt2 ecu's (or zytek, idk)

Mine says Bosch Competition-Proof.........PORSCHE IMSA, it was in a box full of gt2 stuff so i figured it was from a gt2

          Mitch

oh, and i think i might just copy the chip and see if anything makes any sense

go a head and tear apart the code in the chip and see if you can find any of the tuning cables/software.........it would be cool to say the least.
