6-7K, What is the best car? Your opinions?

Well I think we are going to look for a new car for Dave because the e30 isn't worth putting all the money into it for repairs.

I have seen threads like this before but I wanted to get opinions.

What is the best car for arond 6-7k? I know this is going to raise many opinions but please give them all.

It can be a car, truck, suv. Would like it to have airbags (requested by my dad).

A lot of you have experience with different cars. We would like to keep maintance down but know that cars for 6-7k are probably going to need some things.

    Thanks
    DJ

I don't know really. Do you have an offer? I know what we are kind of willing to take for it but I still am unsure if we will be getting rid of it.

I'm still going to stand with the comment i made in the last thread like this,93-01 F-body=Camaro-Firebird. You can get the LT1 cars 93-97 for a good price now and it's a GM so the part prices are cheap. And in stock form they get good gas mileage six speed that is. I got a 96 Firebird Formula with a LT1 M6 in it and i got 28mpg on the last road trip i took. The car has LT headers,CAI,1.6RR,ORY, and a hooker cat back and some other things. The only problem is the rear seat, it is a tight sqeeze for anyone older then 12. The car has gave me little trouble and has good power.

Here is another one. You mite laugh at this one but it is a quick little car. A Dodge Spirit R/T http://www.xmission.com/~dempsey/shelby/sheldodc.htm. I rode in a bone stock one a few mounths ago and it put a smile on my face.

i picked this 96 4runner up 11 months ago for $6500. its been very reliable and nice to have. its a v6 (quad cam) so it doesnt suck up gas as bad as many think. its way nice being able to haul people without folding/sliding seats, and also hauling random to the mountains or beach, 4wd has come in handy too. also way safe.

Do you work at Griots too? E30s have been good to me... Buy a 90 325is... it has an airbag.

You can get an E36 325i in within that price range, that's if you want to stay with Bimmer. If not, Honda FTW (yes .... I love Honda)
