badbadm said... That warning was typical journalist baloney. The car is sublime, just ask Tiff for a credible opinion.

Haha that owner of the car said that... its the highest mileage Mac F1 on the planet, with 40K miles. The owner got it with 4K on the clock.

Gordon Murray reckoned it was making close to 700hp with a freer exhuast and a loosened engine. Top stuff!

See the evo 100th issue for more info on this same car.

Also interesting to note that it has the show car style mirrors on the A pillars, rather than the production version which had them on the doors.

yeah murray wrote the intro to the 100th issue, basically said hey the bugatti is cool, but they had like 10+ years, a buttload more displacement power/adders, and they only went like 10mph faster. and it's ugly.

The McLaren F1 development started way back in the 80's.

                I know....WTF M8?

One of the first public appearances of the McLaren F1 was during the Grand Prix in Monaco. Can't recall which year it was.....1993, 1994? Don't quote me on that. At most, the earliest F1 is about 15 years old now with the newest one being around 10 years old.

Now if you want to talk about 20-year old supercars, think RUF CTR Porsche (aka "Yellow Bird"). Road & Track mag profiled that car sometime in 1987.

And as for the Veyron, that's a matter of personal opinion. I happen to think it looks stunning. 1001bhp & AWD rocks. Period.
