    Stupid questions on the job...

Now I've only been with this company for 3 months (home theater/audio/automation wiring and install), and heard some pretty stupid questions from customers already, but this one just about had me falling out of the van laughing today. This guy called my journeyman, and proceeded to tell us that the wrist strap on his kid's Nintendo Wii-mote snapped while playing Red Steel, and the kid put the Wii-mote through the screen of his brand new $2700 65" Samsung DLP TV.

And asked us if it would be covered under warranty.

They're not meant to be. You're not even supposed to touch the screen.

Not since "The Beave" has this been the way life goes....sadly.

More like the kid lays on the couch, unless he's at his buddy's house burning weed, or sexing up his 14 y.o. girlfriend, without a rubber because he's either too embarassed to buy them, or the amount of money his parents give him despite not doing any chores, has already been spent on pot.

All the while waiting for the new TV to arrive, which happens within 2 weeks of him breaking the old one. Of course, none of the costs fall on his head.

              That's what's going to happen.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

There is far more wii carnage at http://www.wiihaveaproblem.com/

Its funny that there is more than one website dedicated entirely to shit broken by throwing wii remotes.

heh, i broke james' ceiling fan chain while swinging in wii tennis at his lake house. the attached piece of the chain also got knocked up into the fan, causing it to wind up in the hub and preventing the fan from shutting off

In the winter sometimes I hang dry wall on the side. 2 of us are holding a pice of 5/8's by 16 foot long over our heads (putting up cellings) an the home owner walks up behind us an ask's "how much dose that weigh"? Then he wondered around asking how much stuff weighs for the next hour an a half. I was ready to kill him after the 1st time. Dry wall is heavy man.

I suppose this is why nintendo can sell the wii for so little, they bought tons of stock in tv's which they knew idiots would break :).
