A door ding can be fixed with paintless dent removal. Big whoop.

If someone keyed my 88... They would be seriously cruisin for a bruisin

Quite a few people around here respected my car....or at least the few that I run with. I was driving with my dad one day and a Dakar Yellow MZ3 pulled up and complimented it. I was speechless, more so because of the MZ3.

Id have drug him out by his throat and dented his forehead, with his door. especially after seeing him do it.

Ive actually seen a couple new-bmw drivers follow my car with their head at a stoplight, a few of them look and are checking it out,

who knows if its "look at that piece of shit" or" hmm nice old school bimmer"

Sorry to spoil the fun, but I don't have any accent whatsoever, and the rest of the chileans, well, they would not be able to say something like that in a million years.

    Let's put it this way.

"tey not like BMW hear in Chile mi frend (which they call BAEMBAES)"

the rest of us, (at least the few who went to american schools can speak quite right). I even have a bit of a southern drawl.

This is the standard "good" english speaker in Chile.

    Have fun. :)

Of course, when the Daewoos fall apart after 3 years all we say is "I told you so".

An people do not respect cars either, since everybody has 100% insurance, they get all these dings, scratches, and dents, and send the car to be fixed and painted once a year, the repairs suck and the cars look worse and worse, so they don't mind denting your car either, as someone pointed out earlier, cars are just transportation means to them.

Now I don't care much, bit when i finish painting my car, if someone slams his door against it "I'll stab him in the eyes" (I'm quoting George Carlin here)

Not just because my car is getting the best paintjob i can give it, but because i'm doing it myself and it's a shitload of work and sweat, when you do this amount of work yourself and someone ruins it you don't want to kill them, you want to torture them. :!:
Ii don't know why, but your post make me laugh when I read them with a crazy spanish/south america accent in my head.

Haha, unfortunately I don't have a single picture from when my 6 was riding on freshly painted and polished Style 5s... It only lasted for a few weeks and at the time I didn't own any sort of digital camera :(

It's an '81 Euro spec with full Alpina suspension, black leather Recaros, the air dam with fog light holes (looks "sharper" than any of the other air dams) and an M-Tech rear spoiler. Pretty hot.

If my 335i sells I've got another Euro 6 series, an '84 this time, that I have promised the owner (and myself) that I'm gonna buy. I'll definitely post some pics if it goes down....

    *crosses fingers*

Yeah, Rochester is better just because of Mayo, winona is just full or poor college kids. But yeah, it does suck pretty hard.

x2 on Mariano here, people in this town are assholes and just think I have an old shitty BMW. Some guy in a Boxster S talked shit to me on the road once, wiped the ugly toothy smile off his face when he tried to pass me on the highway. Thats the kind of people we have here, buy cars 100% based on the name, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc... But they are all the shithole base models that cost like 50k, nothing great at all. I'll pay anyone cash money to find a 911 here, all you will find are stupid boxters

And therefore assume that you cant afford it. If they knew how much Ive dumped into the ///M3 alone..... plus the styling is soooo far away from whats being put out now. Boxy tends to denote old. Fuck em. Im in love and thats all that matters.

    A bold +1

On the other hand you have the rubberneckers who know, and the rubberneckers who wonder wtf that BMW is.
