    Underdog Landscape

What do you think? I personally think its attractive and would get anyones attention. Especially with an underdog mascot for a logo. Would it sound cheap if I were to add an "LLC" at the end?

Doesn't have anything to do with the business itself. To be honest, I'd probably look right past it in the phone book.

Sounds like you would do sub-par work as well. Try to make the business name reflect your quality as well.

Sorry, don't like it.... I'd also opt out on the limited liability corporation at the end... sounds cheesy for a landscape company.

and... how much liability can a landscaping company need to dodge?

I mean, none of your customers are going to fall through the ground and severe their spine or anything... Just watch out for the sharp blades on the mower.

I would have the name be what you want people to think and expect of you.

I used to carry 1 million dollars worth of liability when I had my lawn care company. I guess anything is possible... For instance, I clip the side of the gas meter with the lawn mower and the house fills with gas and subsequently blows up. Again, I guess anything can happen.

Thankfully I never had to file a claim, but my brother did when he slid on some ice while plowing a driveway and went through the garage doors and struck the homeowners vehicles. If I recall, that was a $8k mistake.

I'm sure Classic Media might take issue with the underdog logo being used for your grass cutting job.

Agreeded, the odds are nothing major would ever happen. But if something would, you can help save your ass by having the landscaping as its own entity under LLC protection. Better to lose the business than your house.
