I just used my last name, Pingel, for my landscaping company. I carry 1 million in lianbilty. Keep in mind anything can happen from workmanship failures, to slip and falls, to just about anything else. Insurance is cheap anyhow. I don't like all the corny names I see around here, just beacuse if you look at most of the companies, its all A cut above, pinnacle, hard rock stonescape, etc. My last name is very uncommon around here, and I have a unique logo to go with it. FTW, get insurance, and make sure you show a name and logo showing quality and professionalism. I don't market myself as cheaper, etc. I market quality, professionalism, etc. You dont want the cheap f*cks who want the cheapest guy around....they are difficult to deal with, and you will loose your shirt with dealing with all their hassles

Ben, I'm not really crazy for either name. I don't have a better suggestion, though. Ground Control is the better of the two, IMO.

My company is called Loud & Clear Car Audio. No one mistakes what we are about. Hardly anyone forgets, either. I like a company name that describes the nature of the business, but creatively, not like "Ben's Landscaping".

Sorry I don't have better info to offer.

"Underdog" will land you at the very end of the phone book listing.

Unless you would like to find a name that starts with v,w,x,y, or z.

With that said, I NEVER do business with any company named AAA Landscaping...it's just cheazy.

Find out what your clients want, and then find a sexy name that describes it.

Like "perfect landscaping" or "maticlious landscaping"...ect...

Than look for a domain name you can get that matches somewhat.

Yeah, not a fan of Underdog. My customers were the larger homes around Lake Minnetonka in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. Not terribly creative, but it worked...

How about "Grass Pusher Lawncare" and have a picture of a guy pushing a lawn mower from the 50's

SICK trailer. i appreciate all the input from you guys. ive been thinking it over and im really leaning towards "ground control landscape services". it is original for the industry, and adds a great deal of confidence to the image. its either that or something overplayed like every other landscape company. im still debating whether to use "landscape" in the name, or "lawncare" in the name. i like to do lawn care, but theres big money in other jobs. decisions...

if you guys have any other ideas or advice, im all ears!

Stick to a name that people can easily remember and associate with what your business does.

When we first started out computer business we were "HyndSite Technologies" but once we realized how hard it was to get people to remember it or even spell it. So we changed it to Knox PC which has been much easier to advertise.

Its terrible how there are so many listings in the phone book that start with multiple A's just so a particular company can be one of the first in the phone book. There is one company listed called AAAAACO and I have no idea what they do.
