I got one even better for you- My bill was past due so I called up sprint to make a payment by phone. I went through the automated prompts indicating my purpose of calling. Finally I was transferred to a rep because I was long past due and someone from their collections department had to intervene. No problem.
The rep gets on the phone and I explain to him why I called we go through the drill of verifying who I am and so forth.. and then the guy looks at the screen and says, "Mr. Scotty, I am seeing a past due amount of $206.88. You are 3 months past due! We even sent out notices! This is unacceptable!!! WHAT DO YOU PLAN ON DOING ABOUT THIS?" Whoa! Hold on! I called you guys up so I can pay and now you wanna play the role of the thretening indignit bill collector?
I don't know if this was a seasoned bill collector who took a part time job at Sprint or what? So I asked for a supervisor because at this point I was ready to cancel my account. They ended up giving me an additional $100 credit and I decided to keep the service but I kept thinking to myself that this guy had a lot of nerve to act that way when I was the one that came to him.
