so me and my friends where riding our dirtbikes on what we thought was non us government property. well it turns out its not.. and a Huey landed and out came a guy in a brown round and told us all to go to our cars. long story short we have to go to his office on Monday, or get arrested.
just thought i would tell you that, its pretty sweet to get a helicopter all to yourself.
PS: he would of written us tickets right there but his helicopter rental was 1500 dollars an hour so he didnt want to run his bill up, lol.

Thats a bunch of boloney. If this was for real or there was a problem they would have made the decision to arrest you right then or let you go free. Only a court of law can demand that you report back at a later date. I mean what if you have a job or some other obligation that prevents you from reporting to their office?

If you've never dealt with a DFW officer, just leave it alone. I have dealt with at least a half dozen different ones, and they are the law when it comes to where you are, or what you shot/hooked, and what your near future holds.

I would expect that either you are quite close to the border, and this made the radar for either immigration / illegal trade reasons, or you were geographically too close to some government interest worth a chopper coming after you.

Sounds like you handled everything right, and that come Monday you'll have more to add to this story.

I am sure that you aren't the first or only dirtbike to ever go across that property and even more so they would have to know that you are not some sort of threat to national security. It just seems like there is so much overreacting to security breaches and unauthorized use/access to gov't owned property.

For instance, they do not allow any hand tools on the plane that are longer than 6 inches. Even if its a pair of pliers. And one day they shut down the airport and rescreened everyone because someone managed to get a pair of channel locks into the secured area. It wasn't a gun, a knife, or even a box cutter.. and even in that story that made the headlines about the guy who left a box cutter in the airplane bathroom, everyone got upset. Nobody seems to be afraid of box cutters until you bring one on the plane. Why is that?
