    Old CDs...... what to do with them

    I have a shit ton of old Cds tha still work but are too scratched for cd stores to buy (i coulda sworn used cd stores were all out of business)... so. do i leave them at UNCA or thrift store or does some r3ver want to low ball me on them?

    we threw old autocadd/various program cds at all kinds of shit. hitting street signs with cd's at 60 mph is fun. til your friend leans out to far and falls out of the car and catches his arm under your rear tire........then the fun stops very suddenly

          you could try polishing them.. use 3m polishing compound for 2000 grit scratches and a microfiber towel. go across the disc (not in circles). I've brought back some discs that were really scratched up that way. if they aren't too bad you might be able to clean them up well enough to sell them.

              Agreed, RIA is insane so any music I have paid for I keep and back up to digital these days.

                Check out your local video stores. A lot of places will polish DVD's/Cd's. The place near me used to until they went out of business. :(

                          microwaving cd's is cool, get the micro at goodwill or a garage sale, then you can try LOTS of other things too. we used to get them cheep and nuke all kinds of stuff. we called it "the microwave power hour" add beer and fun insues!
