I'm biased - but:
- it has lower production numbers; you don't see jordans car on the cover of hemmings motor news do you?
-It's not impossible to find an m3 in this condition, but you're going to have to pay out the ass for it. I will agree that you will not find an m3 as clean as that car for the money, but you have to pay to play if you want to buy one of the clean ones that are out there.
- I agree on the fact that the car would cost a whole lot less to maintain, as shit does break and does happen. However, cost shouldn't really be an issue since we're talking about pristine examples - right? cost just comes with the territory...
- I think the car is pretty tastefully modified, personally. I know it was done right (at least 90% of it) and that's more than one can say for 99% of the cars on the road. Truth be told it does weigh a lot with all the add-on's, and 'the motor doesn't totally make up for weight... Maybe I am jaded about this, but doesn't anyone else look at it and say, "that's a really nice modded 87' 325is"? Truly, that's exactly what it is. My parents have one sitting in their driveway. It's a fun little car, but it's an 87' 325is with a bored out motor and a body kit and it's extremely clean (by clean i mean dirt free).
- as always, something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I have no problem with him asking outrageous prices - it just made my car more valuable.
