I know what you are saying, but you could build the same car for the same amount of money. I remember Jordan only had $12,000 into the car (TOTAL) when the car was still on DS2's, and he didn't put a whole lot more into it after that point. Of course he had countless man hours into it, and a car is worth whatever someone will pay for it, but I don't personally think its worth a whole lot more than $10,000.

And you may be right. And that's not the only option I'd look at IF the opportunity arose to buy or build such a car. Something else I'd also look at would be buying an E30 M3 and putting an S50 in it, something I've always wanted to do. And for $20k, I could find a pristine M3 with maybe a bad/high mileage engine and do just that. If such a situation were to come along, that's when I'd put much more serious thought into it.

I don't get it. I don't know Jordan and I have nothing against him. this is purely about the car. I'm sure it's got cool mods and is built with extreme care and detail....
That car is ugly. It looks way more like a pep boys modded Sentra than it does an e30. That's what I see every time I come across it. The thing doesn't look right and it not just the shaved trim, I can deal with shaved trim if done right. I thinks it the funky side skirts and rear wingz:up:
I'm guessing with great guts it's worth something but it still looks like a Sentra.

been there, seen that
I've seen this car in person, ridden in it for quite a few hours too. It's damn near top notch. I wish I had the millionaire status so I could buy it for kicks along with more e30's. I know not everyone loves Jordan, but in person he was so much different from online... he was a chuckle-head (not a serious, mean-faced person) sitting at the computer talking shit and pissing tons of people off and sharing his often unflaterring opinions. He sure helped me out a lot when I needed it. I think it's a shame he didn't keep it AND the m3 he's got. That's not nut-swinging, it's the truth. Enough beating the dead horse though I guess. </rant>
There are just some cars (like matt's turbo and James Criv's resto, and many more) that I just wish would stay in the same caring hands forever. I hate seeing people pimp-and-drop cars.

One reason I'm into my E30, is I like to look at it. I kinda think it has a squareish muscle car look. Done right they look like German muscle cars...straight lines. E36's are curvy and you may like them but there rounded body design doesn't fit well with this e30. Maybe if the moldings weren't shaved it would be better but I doubt it. It's probably a blast to drive but aesthetically the car is ugly.
I just don't see how some people think this car sets any standard. There are so many cooler member cars than this.
Looks like a Sentra.

Difference between an M car is the production numbers, obviously that's why they deserve a premium.
I'd buy the dakar m coupe IF I could afford it.

I was just poking fun at him.

I'm going to stop commenting now, I feel like an old lady at a bridge club.
