Leaving the us for a good (I think)

    Hey y'all,
Today i'm going to leave North Carolina permanently for France. I have my GF waiting for me and a Masters in Service Management starting in Septemeber. I might come back to the US and some point (especially if i get offered a bling job through Volvo or something).. But for now i have sold off/given away everything that I own that can't fit in a suit case. It's a weird but nice to have nothing.

My next car is a 92 318ic Lapus blue with grey leather, pretty excited about that. Other than that, to all the people on this board i've met/done business with- It's been a blast :-). I'll keep checking in from time to time on R3v but will most likely be on french BMW forums.

    So there you have it,

    :woowoo:

Well at least you'll be within reasonable driving distance to go watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

                            Sounds like an exciting time!

The M42 should have sufficiently good gas mileage in spite of the additional weight of a cabby. It'll probably cost only $75 USD to fill the tank. HAHA. J/k.

                              Hey Bro,
You don't know me but I used to frequent the Euro countries (USAF). At any rate, the area is super cool and don't be dismayed by us Yanks having heartburn about France. They where the only country that had enough balls to say that we were wrong for invading Iraq. There were no weapons then and none now of mass destruction. But enough about that. Have a lot of fun over there. They are super serious in Europe about driving and cars. We, well, we don't get it here because we are so self righteous that we feel the world is our footstool and we don't have to participate in any real driver training.

Not so over there. I lived and flew over there for nearly ten years and I loved it dearly. If I didn't have children and family here I would already be over there living.

God's blessings on you and your GF in France,

                              Stumps
