Yeah, I've done that. It might take a while for you to find someone that can cut the key for you. I went to all of the local hardware stores, department stores, drug stores, and nobody could cut it for me because it was a BMW key. I finally found some small locksmith/bootmaker place that did it for me for a couple dollars.
