Why do you even remember this and why are you making it a point that everyone sees it? I thought it was going to be some bombing thing.

Her personality is part of the reason I don't buy homeschooling. I'd challenge that quite a bit of elementary school is socialization, and if you don't get it you are in for a rough path for employment down the road.
She can spell anything, but I bet she loses a couple job interviews to lesser minds with better social skills.
I'll give a nod to homeschooling only if a family travels a lot, and it's for a fixed time, but not to keep your kids out of the school system entirely under some false pretense that you are "doing better for them" - academically you might be, but it's not the whole package.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

dude she is obviously on the autism spectrum. a lot of the socially awkward kids that you see have some degree of autism. my wife is a special ed consultant and points this stuff out all the time. it's amazing how many kids/people out there have it, especially when you know what to look for.______________________

Yes, part of public school is learning about adversity, and also to learn that you amount to a raindrop in a barrel of water. I know a few homeschooled kids and they don't seem to understand this last part.

I believe a lot of what you learn in school is nowhere near what you see in black & white on the syllabus (sp?). Kids need to interact a lot in order to make as close to a 'normal' kid as possible.
I have no idea what the signs of autism or most other mental problems are, but I'd bet even your wife would agree that socialisation is extremely important.
My point is just that kids need balance, and I heard it said in the small snip of her vid I watched that she was a homeschooler - but yes, it was obvious with her actions & her interview that there was something extra going on there as well.

Maybe a 'chicken & egg' story of what made her completely why she is what she is, but that aside I still stand by what I said. Even if it's a smaller private school of some sort, you still need to have kids learning & working together on projects in order to really give them the full spectrum of life.
