Thanks. I think I can change it. It was about 110 @ 10am when I installed it. I was sweating bullets so I did not play with it too much. That is why there is sweat on the screen in the pictures with flash.

I ordered a screen protector that will hopefully come today and I am about to go downstairs to the garage & try to clean up the wires/locate the S100 & try to get to know it better.

A few more, mostly final. I was able to run the dongle for the NAV under the unit to hopefully I can get it connected without taking the dash apart.

You are right about the blue buttons but my dash color is horrible green & the blue matches the S100.

The manual is the size of a small paperback, i have as yet to find if/how to change the buttons.

Surprisingly good & the workaround for NAV/video when you are moving is literally just grounding a wire. (not that I would watch TV while driving)

Much more surprising was that the picture is ok from the back seat I intend to get a monitor for the kids in back but since they won't be back there for a while that is a back burner project.

What suggestions do you guys have for roof/headrest/center console rear displays?

Stephen, I don't know how I missed this entire thread, sorry.

I am a big fan of DD (especially boobs!) in general. I really don't like the wait for the single DI flips to flip, then boot.

Looks great in the dash, too.

            Luke

i know with some of the newer units you cannot play a DVD well moving, i forget what companies they are as a former co-worker told me but i have since moved on from that job and cannot get in contact to ask him, does anyone know what the companies that allow you play a DVD well the car is moving.

he was telling me something about how it gets a signal from the satellites and once the car starts moving the movie becomes paused.

They all have a means of disabling NAV & DVD while moving. I know Pioneer requires a hack of some kind. This Kenwood uses a ground wire which is supposed to go to the parking brake.

I connected it to the ground loop as much so I don't have to stop to enter changes into the NAV as to watch DVDs.

The real bitch is that the Pioneer nav decks use GPS to disable video AND nav input while driving over 15MPH...so if you wanna change your destination, you must pull over, or hide the GPS antenna from the sattelite.

                      Fuckerz!

I did not know that. There are ebay auctions that sell something they claim disables this. I had a Pioneer it was very nice but was defective & the fact that it had to have the NAV DVD to do nav was a big neg for me. I am very happy with the Kenwood.
