I seen the title to this thread i thought that you guys was talking about those nasty diet rice things. But anyway cops could abuse this and be dickheads about it. But i'll quote someone off of a Camaro site and the guy lives in Cali.

I live in the LA area and the cops don't mess with me.I have a lt4hot cam + a loud ass lm1 cat back with shorties.I had one cop pull me over just to check out my car.As long as you don't drive like an ass they don't mess with you.Or maby they just hate ricers.

I am by no means a honda fan but i would not call those cars rice. There is such a thing as a tastefully modified honda without it being rice.

The state should not crush the cars, stolen parts or not. This law is just going to make people more likely to run from the cops and therefore putting people in even more danger. Yes street racing is stupid and these kids should be punished but there are so many levels of street racing and when its just a casual pull to 60 from a red light(which im sure we are almost all guilty of at one point or another) then this might be a little excessive. Plus there is also no point in crushing the cars, just like everyone else said the cars should be sold at auction if they do decide to impound them. Taking the car is also a weird system, I guess that means the punishment is more for you if you have a nicer car therefore the more valuable your car is the more guilty you are and the greater your punishment??

I am glad they crushed those cars. We had a huge import scene here in San Diego. I used to go out and it was crazy. These kids would pull guns on each other if they lost. Fights, damaging property, damaging lives, etc. Ive seen it all. And yes, most of these cars built with stolen parts. There were many rings of this shit going around SD.
