      +1

Aside from normal cleaning and oiling, do not alter the current finish (whatever shape it may be in) of this weapon. Is your grandfather still alive?

When you are holding a pistol no matter the grip, take your strong hand and PUSH AWAY from your body while at the same time PULLING BACK with your support hand. That balance of tension will give you much better recoil control.

Think of it as Punching the Gun forward with your strong hand but you are holding it back with your support hand at the same time

^ haha no shit, small world I guess, or at least it is when you're trying to find a "fun" range in the midatlantic area. Should be headed up sometime in a couple of weeks I think. Were you guys shooting the tannerite?

Nope no tannerite. Just plinking mostly... teaching my friends some muzzle awareness. Its not fun shooting with a group of people that can't seem to keep the barrel down!!

Cove is definently a hidden treasure though. Full auto friendly too.

^ yeah definitely, its a sort of pay-off though, I like going there because I don't have to deal with any range nazis. It gets on my nerves when the tacti-cool guys are there practicing their 5-yard AR15 skills and they try to run the place like a range, its one of the reasons I go there is because it ISN'T a formal range.

If you ever get up there and there isn't anybody else up there, cherish it. At least for me its the most peaceful thing to just have the whole place to yourself to shoot at your own pace.

                    My toy of choice.

Recently picked up a Springfield XD-m 9mm subcompact as well. Not nearly as fun but a lot easier to carry than that ^^^^ monster.

^^ the judge! that thing is nasty!

I just inherited a few guns and then found some more

One is a Winchester 1892 Made in 1893 Chambered in 32 WCF Not in that bad of shape, except that some time in the last 100+ years the barrel got cut down to 20" like the carbines and the mag tube was also cut down substantially. Still a nice tight action tho, and has a very rare 2 postition front sight.

also got this Llama .32 that looks like its never had a round through it. till i got it anyway

got a winchester model 12, a old 25-20(i think) savage sportster, a Carcano Carbine 7.35, a Mossberg 46b .22LR, a Remmington Mohawk 10c, and an old S&W .22lr revolver cant think of the model but ill get pics of the others up soon

Don't care for the "Judge", ungainly and ballistically inferior to a host of other handguns of similar size.

                            My humble collection:

Keep in mind I only target shoot, no hunting.

My savage .22. Been using this set up for 2 years or so now, great 100yrd accuracy.

I wanted to step up to a .223, and once I started to talk to my dad about it, he hands me this:

Mauser 98k from WWII that belonged to my grandfather, when he gave it to me the front iron and the rear peep sight were removed and in pieces, also the gun wouldn't switch to safe. A little bit of elbow grease and it's all fixed now.

Last but not least, the blowing off steam toy.
