^ those are pretty damn sexy, but somehow I feel like they both have each other's parts, like one should be stock and one should be tacticooled out haha

The Colt will keep the Eotech for a little while longer, 'till one of my next builds is complete, then it'll return to 100% stock. I just can't bring myself to pull a perfectly zeroed optic off without good reason.Comment

Really cool PTR 91 video.
I've watched it about 30 times.Comment

I settled for 4.25 cause Dan Wesson didn't make the bobtail in 5 inch. Verdubin is right as usual. My experience with the officer length guns has shown them to be less than reliable. The commander length seems ok, the 4 inch Kimber seems to work, but the 3.5 inch guns have demonstrated a distressing propensity for jams. The thinness of the 1911 makes concealment easy if you ask me.sigpic

Wow, with all the Kalifornia members, I was surprised to find a gun thread....Ha!
Here's my other hobby, building ARs:
Noveske based, NFA stamped 6.8spc, 8.5" barrel
Last backyard shoot, friend of an employee shot and cut this video: (smoke shows up worse due to the direction of sunlight, extreme humidity, yada yada, not that bad when firing)
Favorite one so far, good for 300yds with 85gr rounds, a tad over 200 with 110gr rounds.

Ok guys, here's my situation: Looking to buy a handgun, has to be double action, non revolver, and my spending limit is under $600. I've owned a Glock 17 and a Beretta 92fs. I didnt like the Glock, or the Glock 22 I tried. I can't say exactly why, they just didn't feel "right" to me..
I'm going to school for a career in law enforcement, so this gun will be for target practice to improve my shooting, and hopefully be in my possession for a long time.
Here are the 3 guns I'm looking at right now, and I'd like your input as to which you guys think would be the "best" for me. Also, please feel free to recommend guns to me, my knowledge of handguns is lacking to say the least...

I think I would go with the H&K or try and find a sig p220. If you are going into law enforcement you will get a discount on firearms so keep that in mind. I own a sig p220 elite and it has been the best gun I have had so far. I have put about 1500 rounds down the pipe and haven't had any FTF or FTE. I carry that and a glock 36 everyday.Comment

Cheap is not a term I've seen associated with Sig & HK, money wise. You may be able to find a certified pre-owned Sig in a P220, sometimes they are available. As far as HK goes, sometimes you can find police trade-ins. Prices would be about $450 to $550 for either gun. You may get lucky and find a used one at a gunshow, etc. HK has some confusing nomenclature with some models, SA, SA/LA, SA/LEM, etc. so do some research first. The same with HK models, some are no longer made, or less favored. Police departments use a variety of weapons also, I would do some research to find what the academy, or department I planned on attending/joining were using.Comment

Why are you set on Tupperware ????? The only one outta your list I would look to would be the HK. the Sig 250 is well ehhhhh in my mind and very lack luster for a Sig just not a big fan of their plastics. If its tupperware you must have make it a HK ( I too cant stand glocks )
Sigs can be found for the 600 mark all the time you just have to take your time and look and one will pop up in less time than you think I would bet. Last 2 Sigs I bought were 625/650 in VERY GOOD used condition with about 300 in upgrades and spare mags.Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.
