Yeah the trigger is dogshit, but coming from a double action j-frame its actually pretty familiar. I was looking at some of the Galloway Precision parts to help remedy the trigger, but I'm not sure if I want to modify this gun or just be content with its shitty trigger and low cost charm.

Well that's just all guns in general anyways right? I tried someone elses at a range while they tried my CZ PCR, they admitted the PCR had a much better trigger, but for what you get in the size of the package, I'm a big fan of the LC9. Good caliber in as small a gun as you'd want.

Yeah Im going to leave mine alone. Its not a target pistol, I just need to be able to shoot a mother fucker in the chest and stop the threat if needed. Plus I think the conceal-ability and size out weigh the trigger issues. I mean we should all be practicing with our guns on a regular basis anyway.

If I was looking for a good starter(highly subjective) 9mm handgun to start as my first gun, any brands I should look at/avoid?

                  Budget: <600

                  Thanks R3v.

Ive been looking at a Glock...but wondering what else is good.

Rugers are as good as any pistol costing 3 times their price.

I have a p345 (.45), and its never once jammed, misfired, or locked up, and its more accurate than I am. Handles +p with no problems either.

                    I wouldn't think twice about getting a P95, if I was looking for a 9mm.

I haven't tried one yet but the S&W M&P autos look nice. Also some raving about the PPQ Walther as well. My favorite part of buying my first gun was hitting all the ranges and trying probably 25 different models. Ended up w. a Glock! :p haha

This. The kool-aid tastes good. Indulge.

summitgunbroker.com has them in stock last time I checked.

Brothers do that kind of stuff. I gave my brother an AR-15. I see it like this:
He served in the marines, so he must feel lonely without one. I'd have gotten him an M249 SAW (his favorite), but I can't afford that.
