I went to a gun store to look around between classes. They have a pretty good selection of used weapons in my price range that are all tested, but sadly, I'm not old enough to rent a gun for the range by myself. I need someone who is over 21 to rent it and then I can shoot it (I'm only 19). I'll see if I can find any ranges that I'd be allowed to rent a gun at...

You should have them take some self defens lesson of some kind. Krav maga is the best in my mind because it works for many sizes of people and teaches you to defend your self from multiple attackers. Weapons can be taken from you but a marcial art you know can't be used against you. I have seen tiny woman throw much larger men around.

My wife and I took mixed martial arts classes for about a year, only reason we stopped is due to a move.

However, In only a few months you learn enough to set yourself ahead of most attackers. My wife is only 120lbs, and I am 220lbs. Let's just say I would think twice about coming after her. She isn't very heavy but she makes up for it in speed, you don't even see the hits coming.

+1 for women trained in martial arts, they can do some damage.

It'll go quick! Just don't think about it. My check was cashed March 6th.. And I even had a 2week delay do to a typo on my part. So hopefully you'll be closer to 5-6mo!

Today seriously was the best day ever! I knew my old faithful iwb was coming and a new gun belt, but the stamp was a surprise and I about passed out when I saw it

New rig for my Glock23.. I am very impressed with Old Faithful Holsters. I got the holster kit and did it myself, all you do is snap it together and save lots of money! Then I got their belt kit and it even came assembled already so all it needs is some dye

I will post a pic covered up but I couldnt take a good one by myself. I also still need to find a good placement that is comfortable because I couldnt get it quite right, it also needs to be broken in a little bit

You don't even need dye. Soak it in water and lay it out in the sun. It will tan, and loosen up in the process.

Ive been eying those! Let us know what you think after you use it a bit.

I fitted one up to my 4" 1911 and it seems to be the best bet/fit for carrying on the lower back/center of the back. i have a regular IWB for my 1911 and SR9C, but with the 1911 it prints too much under a tshirt.

I figured since this is the gun thread, its patrons may be interested in some range day pics. I built a little range on some of my grandfathers land just to have a cheap safe place to go plink on the weekends.

These first few are off my friends FB page so you may not be able to see em.

My 10/22 looked kinda boring and I had some flat black vinyl left over from wrapping an mustang hood so I tried my hand a wrapping it.

That looks like a lot of fun. I wish I had an outdoor range.

so far, so good! it is very comfortable..but I am still trying to find the perfect spot to carry it. I wore it yesterday tucked inside of some dress pants/shirt and it was way better than when I just hand a tshirt over it, which seemed assbackwards to me. usually carrying in casual clothing is always better for me

but I will report back after a couple weeks of consistent carrying

but for half the price of a supertuck.. i do not see why you wouldnt buy one. their stage 3 kit is a bargain and super easy to put together

My latest addition to the AR: Damage Industries muzzle brake. It was $15 so I decided why the heck not:
