Went to range for first time today, what a blast! Can't believe I haven't been out before. Was shooting pretty decent too, got to fire a 1911 22, Beretta 9mm, .40 M&P, .50 Gold Desert Eagle, 12ga tacticool shotgun and a 308 remington 700. My wallet is already running in fear.

For a defensive gun, I like the opposite. Ive converted all my Hks to variant 3 for that reason. And Glocks "Safe Action" pistols do in fact incorporate 3 safties...but I think when you say "physical" to are refering to a lever actuated safety.

yeah i see where your coming from i don't use my guns for defense (i guess i have my Mossberg 500 for but i'd probably never use it in anger) i just like to target shoot and yeah i mean lever safety like 1911s have i like the grip safety too

Not sure if this event is common knowledge or how well known it is but I just read about it for the first time today. It's a really amazing story.. sounds like something you would only see in a movie.

I'm not INTO into guns like some of you guys, but did the whole Hunter's Ed. and still try to get out to shoot whenever possible. Only have a pea shooter now (late 40's Sears & Roebuck .22 semi-auto) Much time was spent hunting gophers and refrigerators growing up.


Have any of you tried your hand at engraving? I'm very seriously thinking about starting it as a new "relaxation hobby".
