Here is a fun one from MD. Man with a valid MD CCW permit traveling home from NJ with his family, pulled over and harassed and terrorized by MD Transit cop looking for a weapon that was locked up in the safe at home.....

This is the kinda shit that just boggles my fucking mind, and even more proof of how bad the police state is getting

This is the main reason it took me so long to decide to get a CCW for Arizona. I carried under Constitutional Carry for a few years before finally doing it. Hope I don't end up regretting it in the future.

I refuse to get a CCW for that very reason. The only other state I'm in regularly is California and I can't carry there anyway.

Dont let what happens in liberal states persuade you from getting your concealed licenses.

AZ is a very gun friendly state. CA...not so much.

AZ also doesn't require a permit to carry concealed. The only real benefits are reciprocity with some states and no need for them to make the background query when you're buying a firearm. On the other hand, it also attaches itself to your driver license, so when you get pulled over the cops act pretty similar to the story that was posted, though to a lesser extreme because guns are pretty much just a part of life here.

AZ has reciprocity with a lot of states, but not any that I'd visit. Funnily enough Oklahoma requires it's residents to have a concealed permit, but if you have an AZ ID or license you don't need one.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Department of Homeland Security has purchased more than one billion rounds of a newly designed 9mm handgun round designated "domestic anti-personnel," developed in part by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and manufactured in China by NORINCO, a Duffel Blog investigation has uncovered.

Yeah, I read a real article about G2 Research a while ago. Seems rather light but seems to have effectiveness and pretty crazy it is CNC'ed. (Limited to 60k a month per month production) And already sold out, which probably isn't surprising given production limitation and maybe one of the inspirations for satire.

I find it both funny and sad for society that the satire link has been reposted a lot as fact. Kinda like Hermain Cain sharing the Waterford Whisper News-sourced piece about North Korea claiming they landed on the sun, or others sharing The Daily Currant articles without realizing their sources. I guess it shows how quick some are hungry for 'news' that fits their fears or sound like someone that could be real and shocking so goes viral, without caring to fact check or investigate sources to see if they are legit. Especially given the number of times people have tried to blame the government for ammo shortage, even 22lr, instead of looking in the mirror, the piece is fitting. And feeds into conspiracy theorist people's hunger.

Yeah something still seems weird to me about bullet mass and their claims, both these have good points, but my focus is on the math:

The entire 9mm projectile weighs 96 grains and is claimed to leave the muzzle at 1265fps generating 370 ft/lbs or joules of muzzle energy (they don’t say which and this figure has changed from 490 in the last 24 hours on their website)

Their claims about energy don’t make sense either. They list a weight of 96 grains, and a velocity of 1265 feet per second with “muzzle energy” at “490″. They don’t say 490 what. We’re left to assume that they’re talking about foot-pounds. of energy, like every other ammo manufacturer quotes. However, using the standard formula for kinetic energy, 96 grains at 1265 fps yields just 341 ft/lbs, nowhere near the 490 they claim. So — is it a mistake? Or are they perhaps trying to quote their energy figures in, say, joules? I don’t know.

[ed: G2 has since updated their site, claiming muzzle energy of 370]
Maybe they were doing calculations in Joules and didn't think everyone wanted foot pounds? Still, 341 ft lbs isn't 370 and 464 isn't 490...

                              Although...

Their older videos have 1300 FPS listed, which would yield 490 Joules... (so if one gives them the benefit of the doubt that they just used Joules for some odd reason, 96 gr x 1300 FPS = 490 Joules makes sense...) But it still is only 360 ft lbs @ 1300 FPS... Maybe they made an error?
Unless they redid the velocity rating again with 1318 FPS or changed bullet weight... but bullet weight would take some re-design and modeling / CNC changes... Either way, I can't now find a current spec for velocity or energy on their site... #fishy

                              It doesn't add up.
