no experience with lax but I have a long standing prejudice against buying reloads. normally pretty dirty, but at least these seem to have a plated bullet. which is not the same as fmj.

I'm not. There are lots of reviews about LAX and 99% of them seem good. A few people with FTF malfunctions, but I'm willing to bet that was operator error.

Why do you replace it? Afraid the primers are gonna go bad?

They say carry ammo should be replaced yearly, probably just has to do with corrosion, lint, sweat, blah, blah, blah. $20 a year and guaranteed reliable defense ammo, I'm not going to argue.

Reloads from a reputable vendor are probably ok. One super important thing to remember, especially with reloads. If you pull the trigger and nothing happens, DO NOT just rack it and shoot without checking the barrel for a squib load. I've seen in person what happens when someone fires another round behind a bullet lodged in the chamber and it is not pretty. Be grateful you have a Glock and they are so easy to disassemble, it's better to be safe than lose half your hand or worse.

Yeah, I spent a lot of time reading before making my first handgun purchase last year. Point down range for 30-60 seconds before ejecting, check barrel for projectile.

Yeah LAX is legit. I have bought reloads from them a couple of times. I have yet to have any issues. I go through a different guy now, but I don't think he can beat that price. May have to order some more.

LOL shit. That is just about what you have to buy in CA too. That is kind of the way to get around using a bullet button. The rifle must be free of "evil features" i.e. flash hiders, pistol grips, adjustable stocks, and of course the evil bayonet.
