The only time my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 has had a FTF is because I was using reloaded amo and brass on one round was crimped. I love that frickin thing. I dont shoot it enough when I am in CA.

1911 as a first gun is a major no no. Trigger control should be learned progressively.

Some people just don't like the feel of polymer guns, like me. I have been shooting since I was 7, and it was always revolvers and assorted metal pistols. So when I was old enough to buy my own, 1911 was my natural choice. I really really despise shooting glocks, sigs, and the like, but if I have to I can still hit the mark with them.

Actually in this case it would be an SBS (Short Barreled Shotgun) tax stamp.

I agree. I completely stripped down the lc9 the other day and was dissapointed by the number of plastic parts. It will serve well for its intended use but I doubt it will last to hand down through the generations. I don't personally mind the feel, but I doubt their longetivity.

So glad I kept my 4013tsw, and the sp101 .357 mag is my next purchase.

Plenty of Gen 1 Glocks still kicking around.

I will own one at some point, but it will never be a carry weapon.
