Fair enough, but for a state with gun laws like California this is a pretty big deal. I dream of a day when I can go home to visit family and not have to buy special magazines just for California lol

It sounds like San Diego is following suit. Here is a letter from the Police Chief regarding CCW in San Diego.

It is my understanding that the police have 14 days to appeal the Court ruling. Their time is almost up to contest so we may finally have the "At Will" clause go away. I am sure they will put up as many road blocks as possible but this could be a good step for those of us that want a CCW here in Kalif.

Agreed. The last gun I had (XDm 9mm) couldn't even visit with me because the magazine held 19 rounds. At least the Glock has 10 rounders available, but still bullshit.

There are millions of gun owners in California. If they actually took a stand and voted in those that would uphold their 2A rights, then the change for the better would take place.

It wont be for a long, long, time! They have had control of that state since the 70's and the votes are never even close. Going to be a long haul.. its nicer to live in Phoenix and drive 5hrs to enjoy that state as a vacation only!! I make it out there atleast 3-5 times a year, either SD or LA/Newport and thats all I ever need. The traffic sucks, the roads suck, the cost of living sucks. If I ever live there it will be a 2nd home on the beach haha

Unless you actually plan to move or visit the state, an address won't do you any good. Kalifornia doesn't recognize our bizarre non-draconian laws.

As you know it isn't legally required, but it's nice to have. Especially when dealing with police, they seem to show more respect.

I need a pistol for home defense/concealed carry. Im a total noob when it comes to specs and models but i've always gone shooting with my father and friends in safe, legal environments since i was a child and so i know how to operate and fire a pistol proficiently. Im not looking for a pea-shooter but not a .44 magnum either. I'd like something with some heft while maintaining mobility. My hands are larger so nothing tiny but i also want to be comfortable when wearing it holstered.

Suggestions?

Y not get a 1911. The one pistol that WILL go bang everytime u pull the trigger. Double safety, all steel. 9mm & .45.
