That's ridiculous. And to think, I feel somewhat guilty of my prior beliefs (ignorantly) and my ever changing position on guns. To take part in legislation denouncing them only to be a smuggler should have this guy in prison till the day he dies.

Why do you think that the mobsters liked Prohibition and got along with the drys in regards to protecting it? I'm not sure about US politicians but some foreign ones are certainly wealthy due to the war on drugs.

Crime doesn't obey laws and create room for profits on illegal trade. Something to really keep in mind when people want to legislate a solution. Although this case is one for the record books of sleaze.

the lawyer in DC one has been on going for a while now, and is 100% BS and iirc its was not even projectiles just the plastic packaging that contains them and the big kicker was a primer struck misfired 12ga shell form 20 years ago is what has really got his ass in the ringer, also iirc the story is the guy is a conservative and proud of it

Picked up some xm855 bulk cans from Walk Mart this morning and headed out to the NRA range after work.

Fired off 180 rounds in an hour, not a single hiccup from the rifle. I surprised myself firing from a standing position at 50 yards. I have been shooting my whole life but not consistently.

Only saved one target. This was 25 yards sitting using the stock magpul BUIS. Mixed of slow and controlled rapid fire. One mag, using all 4 corners and center.


Now on to optics. I see the Eotech 512 has come down in price. I wanted one back in the day but they were big bucks. Any objections? This rifle will not be getting any magnification.

I kinda like the xps my self but you cant really go to wrong with the 512. for a no mag site. I think for optics on a .556 AR the fixed 4x Classic trigi is about the best route to go but that is a nearly 3 times the money though.....

For my 1911 I just drop a spare into my left pocket. For my 686 I stuff an Hks speedloader into a left pocket, preferably in a jacket pocket. For my other guns I hope I only need one mag. If I need 30 rounds I should have brought a bigger gun.

Yep, weak hand pocket along with my pocket knife, pen light and car keys. I don't carry an extra mag as often as I should though.

Been carrying my LCP, and I dont even have an extra mag with it. That's on the "need to get" list.

I did buy a kydex holster and a two mag pouch for when I took my training class, the Kydex held the mags really well, but was owb.
