This is a Savage 10 ( 308 ) I was building up with some spare parts I had laying around. I finally got it shooting about a week ago and its shooting sub .5 MOA with Winchester 168 Match.

The rifle purpose was out to about 600 yards. I had a Fixed 10x SS sitting so I put it on for the time being. Ill be moving that over to my 10/22 after I just found this deal on a scope.

Bushnell Elite Tactical Rifle Scope - 3-12x44mm Illum BTR-Mil Reticle

There are some other posts on Snipers Hide and AR15 about scopes and this one came up. Being such a deep discount I could not go wrong. Its still selling on Amazon for almost 900. So if it does not work out, Im sure I can still get my money back out of it.

As for the threaded barrel, I am working on a home build suppressor on a Form 1. Something that seems strait forward and easy enough to do. So why not. Tax stamp $2-- and Ill have maybe $150 in parts and labor.

That is what I have been reading. I figured for the price, it was well worth the try.

            Pathetic.

Plot twist: "We're sorry, the rifle you turned in does not qualify for a tax credit because it lacks the select fire ability. Therefore, while your sporting rifle is of military design, it does not meet the definition of 'Assault rifle.'. Please fill out the attached weapon of mass destruction return form and await a response for the next 6-1 million months and we will be sure to return your assaul shit I mean sport rifle in a reasonable time frame.

As an idea, I don't have an issue with this idea of voluntary turning in of rifles (I hate the term "assault rifle", mine isn't an assault rifle, it's a defense rifle) for a tax break. Personally I won't partake, they can take em off my dead body, but for some people, I could see this as being viable. I also see said people getting screwed by the govt like Exodus mentions.

Not that this really matters on a national level, but our uber-libtard governor signed the omnibus public safety bill today that contained provisions for suppressor ownership. I guess he did at least one thing that I can stand behind. Leaving to get my trust paperwork and then as of August 1st there will be at least 1 e-file form 4 headed to the .gov

Now to just get suppressors off the records. In this day and age their use should be encouraged.

Hunting even. From what I hear over in England suppressor's are encouraged.
