Get a trust with a lawyer, then order surpressor and pay for the tax stamp. Wait for about 2 to 3 months and you have it. I have mine on order ;)

Its just something fun to get. I mean why does a e30 need a 24v?

My grandfather died when my dad was 3 months old, and the rifle was in my great uncles possession until my dad was of age. My great uncle sporterized it, shortened the barrel, and generally did a hack job doing so. I need to fill two holes in the receiver, and re-blue the barrel and receiver, I've read and watched a ton of videos on the subject but I'm just not sure which route to take. I'm not interested in restoring value, as it'll never get sold, but I just want to clean it up nice.

Very good results. The more you do it the better it looks. I did a Para Ordnance 40 cal that was quite worn from competition. Every time I cleaned it, I blued it, after a year it was as deep as a pro job, YMMV.

Dulles Expo Center tomorrow after work! The Nations Gun Show.

This will be my first gun show and I plan on purchasing a handgun of some sort... I STILL don't know what I want.

                  If I go with a .45 I'll most likely want a 1911 or a baby eagle...

                  what was your first handgun?

                        ^

Dont go in confined to 1 or 2 choices. Fondle and finger bang as many as you can while you are there. See what fits your hand best, and see what points the most natural for you.

Baby eagle Ummmmm no, its more of a conversation piece than anything. Stick with in the 5-6 big guys,
1:Glock (I hate them) many love them and they are good stuff
2:Springfield the new XD's are slick, I dont shoot them that well but they are good stuff.
3: H&K, if you must have Tupperware this is the route to go, I love my HK's
4: Sig Sauer, My personal Fave, and every day carry weapon. I converted from HK
5:Ruger: I like their wheel guns better than their autos but still good stuff.
6: Smith and Wesson, MP's are ok but if you go wheel gun there is NOTHING better than a Smith Trigger

Above all else get something that FITS YOU well, and comfortable in YOUR hands. if this is just a fun range gun then dont rule out anything based on reliability concerns.

My FIL walked into the "toy store" with me a week or so ago dead set on a Kimber Ultra carry 2 (his 1st auto hes a wheel gun guy). He walked out with a brand new Sig P220 Elite, Why it fit him better and pointed better for him, and since he has little experience with autos it was a better choice to "learn on"

Auto. Looking a .45. If I'm not mistaken they make a compact .45.

                                Edit: Something like this...
