Wal mart in my area has Ar-15's for 750 cash out the door i believe they are DPMS brand direct gas impingement eww..

My brother just received a gas piston Bushmaster ar-15 from his recently deceased father its a beautiful ar-15 and so much better then those faggy unreliable gas impingement ar-15's haha he doesn't need to keep it in panty hose to keep dust speckles out of it

Honestly, All ar-15's are faggy, and I prefer not to shoot them. But, out of the 3, ar-15's that I have shot. 2 being direct gas and the 3rd being the gas piston. The DGI guns felt much more "pȗssy" & "tingy" and or not as solid and 1 of them had a few jams.. granted these issues may possibly have just been owner maintenance issues. But the gas piston ar-15. I could feel the shot in my chest far more than i do/did with a direct gas ar-15. I'm talking about the boom when the round is fired not the recoil that lifts the gun up and back into your shoulder. ill get to that later. The gas piston just has a more solid feel to it.

i can group shots better with the gas piston as well, may not be related to the gas system but probably more so the optics and barrel length but again i prefer it over the other. Hell i can group shots better with my ak pistol and no butt stock better than i can with a direct gas impingement ar-15, probably only due to the fact that i feel like such a fag when i shoot an ar-15 it throws me off my game

The lack of recoil in the gas impingement over the gas piston makes it even more faggy

Finally and obviously the Gas piston design is far more reliable than gas impingement. All you have to do is look at the Kalashnikov. much looser tolerances allow for more, much more, reliability and less maintenance/upkeep.

            and fuck marketing btw

Yeah I go to the range with my stepdad pretty often and its actually his gun that I'm getting. I've shot the gun many times and love it.

Oh OK awesome. I was gonna say, that's a pretty small/powerful gun for a first gun. That'd be pretty hard to get your fundamentals right with something like that.
