What are these things going to cost? Any idea?

Do you think there will even be an M variant?

This thing is already a twin-turbo six in a smaller body - 305+ HP - it's going to be fast. If they make it any faster, it'll be encroaching on the territory of the new M3 --- they won't want to lose M3 buyers to a cheaper BMW. Apparently the 135i is going to be about $37,000 base --- add some options and taxes and you're over $40,000 easily. It'll get expensive --- so imagine how much an M1 would be...

Same theory as the Porsche Cayman vs 911.

Just my theory. But - they may be pushed at some point to put out an M1 --- hopefully they have some super-highly strung modern S14 variant to throw in the car. Then I'll have to buy one, even if I have to sleep in the trunk and eat uncooked Ramen.Comment

I like it minus the wheels/headlights and for some reason rear looks too busy, maybe it's the trunk lid/spoiler... if they sell this thing for under 35k it will probably sell well.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

 I absolutely love it. A modern day E30. :D

Of course there are things I don't like, one of the biggest being I hate the new style of BMW dashboards. But I'm not going to nitpick, it's fucking badass. I can't wait to see when a few tuners get a hold of it, and you KNOW those things are going to start tearing up racetracks in touring car racing.Comment

I just don't know. Everyone is hyping up the 135, what are the 128, etc, gonna be like? You know, the ones that will actually be sold?

Hell, I'd prefer the NA 2.8, even though it be slow in that pig; I'll take an M42 over the 335i motor if it would save me from having i-drive...

What do you mean, the ones that are going to be sold? I've seen more E92 335i's than any other E92 on the road.

Josh, rumor has it there will be no M varient of it, so you don't have to worry about it tarnishes your fan boy dreams Last edited by Digitalwave; 07-05-2007, 08:29 PM. Last edited by Digitalwave; 07-05-2007, 08:29 PM.Comment

big twin turbo engine + small lightweight rwd chassis = successOriginally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly. Comment
