Guys and girl(s), step back and look at this video and the situation for what it is. It is a tragedy and a marker on our history that will fade with time if we are not reminded often.

This video choked me up, and that takes a lot.

The entire situation should symoblize the frailty and value of life. Too often we look the other way when our brothers need help. Look past skin and see that we share one home.

There was no secretly planned attack. Bush is not the anti-christ. The building took a major hit from the side by a fuel laiden airplane, would you expect it to remain standing? People who follow their religion far more closely than any one of us are willing to felt it was the right thing to do.

If I believed for a moment that the Bush-neocon-conservative or whatever was behind this, I would be a liberal until the day I died! The irony here is that the people that believe this stuff will vote for the conspirators again. If this is true, we need protection from them, not Al-Qaeda! Hell, maybe we need protection from them anyway!

Let's not forget that the godfather of terrorism, Reagan, armed and funded Osama bin Ladin. In many ways he is responsible for founding Al Queida. When more Islamic radicals were needed to fight in Afghanistan against the USSR, Regan's CIA started Operation Cyclone, which was a recruitement effort for new terrorists.
Oh, you really have to love the mock outrage that the reich-wingers have that Saddam actually used the WMD that Reagan, Rummy, and Bush sr sold to him. "Those WMDs were for display purposes only!!!!"
Lets not forget that Reagan also sold weapons to our enemies in Iran, just so he could fund right-wing death squads (terrorists) in Central America.

It's impossible to win the war on terror when Republicans are doing such a great job of recruiting and assisting the terrorists.
One recent study estimates that there are now 7 times as many terrorists as there were before the Chimp's first term. Yet another failure that I don't expect to the right ot have the intellectual honesty or depth to comprehend.

You know Bin Laden's father is a multi-millionare correct? He owns most the biggest Concrete and construction firm in Saudi Arabia. The US Gov't still does business with him to this day.

As big of a tragedy 911 really is, I think it might be a little overblown in the media in North America. 3,000 people died in the 911 attacks, yes, but way more people than that are dying everyday worldwide as a result of not having clean water, or other stupid shit like that. I mean, an estimated 230 THOUSAND people died in that Indian Ocean Tsunami just a few years back, and I don't hear anyone making a big deal out of that anymore. While I would agree that 911 is highly significant due to it's cultural impact, we need to open our eyes and realize that this sort of loss of life happens every day, on a much larger scale. And so often, as in the case of vaccines, or clean water, it's stupid stuff that could easily be avoided. 1,200 kids under the age of 5 die every hour from easily preventable or treatable causes. NOBODY remembers or honors these kids the way we do 911 victims, and sometimes, it makes me sick.

Its like seeing someone you grew up with without their glasses for the first time. Sure they look fine without them but the first time you see them you are a bit confused.
Yeah, but the way that they have the entire block fenced off with 15 foot walls and then the surrounding buildings have those temporary shelters covering the sidewalks, it just does not look the same down there.

I am sure it would be very wierd and very scary if you could walk right up to the curb of the complex and look down into the hole of what used to be the multi-level parking garage and imagine the 6 buildings that stood above it.

Blaming the incident on Clinton is pure idiocracy. The way I see it, no one in the public sector really has a right to an opinion on 9/11, because they/their sources/the interwebz doesn't know shit. What you think is correct is probably just some sort of fabrication. Just live your life and move on. The government pwnz teh world, that is the bottom line.

Yeah, but guess who DOESNT do business with him? His son. UBL has been estranged from his family for a LONG time. Shit, the kids of his cousings and siblings are using alias names because of him.

And bigfurrywhale has a point. While this is a horrible event as a human being you would be far more likely to die from dysnetary or dehydration than a nutball arab. True story. That is why I get so annoyed with all this talk about americans below the poverty line, shit, under 44k for a two income family is impoverished here.
                  Im now E30less.

Agreed, but the fact that He still has alot of money from Daddy from back in the day so to say we paid for this is silly.

We as Americans as you now live far beyond our means and this is why most Americans carry 5-7K in CC debt. Sad. But honestly I get tired of Hollywood preaching to those who watch there movies and buy there products that we should donate to the rest of the earth.

Sorta like when France asked why the US Gov't did not donate to the Tsunami relief but I did not see France donating to the folks in New Orleans.
