Maybe if F1 cared more about the fans, they'd get more support from American fans, and as a result American investment.

Hell, I pretty much hate any motorsport where people make money. Actually, any sport period...

Honestly, as huge a proponent for F1 as I am, I find it difficult to try to get the standard Nascar fan to come around when F1 basically just told the US (including it's loyal fans) "Fuck you."

            Nascar hasn't done that yet?

Anyone remember the Iceberg GP in Phoenix back in the eighties?
F1 did not work there either, and PHX spent a shitload of money on that event.:(

Road America would be a nice choice from a track standpoint.... not much out in Wisconsin though. NYC would be a great idea - get Trump on the phone.

pretty much. Hell I have more fun at the dirt track than I do at "real" racing. Those guys don't give a shit, they just want to race. Speed WC is great indeed, especially since we can conceivably buy a car that's not that far off from the track cars. What's the closest street equivalent to a F1 car? Or a Winston Cup car or Rolex Prototype car for that matter?
