I love that people here were wanting refunds on the 30k tickets that sold since he wasnt playing. The owner told them to go fuck themselves, they bought tickets to a soccer game not a Beckam show.

Although you know they bought tix to see him because nobody woul buy tickets to see Galaxy play.

Before Beckham came to the US, I didnt care about soccer, and I never heard about it. Now that hes here, I still dont give a fuck, but cant stop hearing about it. ESPN radio did the break down today, and assuming hes out for the rest of the season, he earned $21,000 a minute. I'll take it!

Finally some people like who are wondering just WHAT THE HELL he's doing in America....!

As if he'll single handedly make soccer in America a major sport.!

Beckam is on vacation in the States.

Media & marketing machines rooting for the guy who initially all you heard was that he wasn't playing.

wow, ankle hasn't even fully healed and now he'll be out for at least six weeks to the rest of the season. This will give MLS' best new addition a chance to get all the media attention. Brasilian Denilson.. I hope he still has all the skills and tricks of old. If so, we are in for a show like non-before in the MLS. Well, there has never been any show in the MLS anyways.....

But you have to take into account that America wasnt even a presence in World Cup soccer until what, the late 90s?

And some of their players at the time weren't even American.

Internationally Beckham blows. He wont do anything but get a bunch of young women wet here in America. He alone will not make shit of a difference.

I didn't watch, but I am pretty sure both those teams whined and cried till it was over.
Oh and Beck made a good decision in the footsteps of Pele.
He is washed up though. Chelsea will roll per usual.
Beckham cannot assume that the players in America won't be as good as those in Europe. Sure european leagues develop players through many levels and care about the game more, but it's not like all of our players are bad.

Paris beat her to it and saturated the market. People are now getting over vapid whores.

Being said, I bet her vaginal walls feel good. They should change the title to "Cuming in America" and let me make a miniseries of me shooting DNA at her.

not quite. "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," was originally intended as a mini-series, but trimmed to a one hour special by the NBC network.
