Not trying to be rude, but aren't AF rotations voluntary? I'm guessing you are at BIAP? I may be going through there in the next few days. Either way I'm right down the road at FOB Falcon.
I wish I could get a 6 month deployment. Out of 59 months in service I've spent 30 either deployed, at school or at training. All away from family.
Man oh man I knew I should have joined the Air Force.
A/C is everywhere here. We couldn't live without it. Too many of us work outside in the sun all day and then to have to come back to our sleeping quarters without A/C would be suicide. The guys that first pushed through did it and even then they would "borrow" the area's with A/C to cool down. Today it was 120 in the shade at 1030am. Not sure exactly the temperature since the thermometer only goes to 120.
