Why is your global rank so high, if you have 166m?????

Dosen't make much sense if you ask me. I have been playing this game all day and no matter how good or bad I do, my ranking still seems to remain in the 71,000's. I have even hit it between 109 and 115 and it STILL keeps my ranking at that range. At first I thought that the rank was based on your last flight but that does not seem to be the not the case.
