    "To Catch a Predator" sued

I have absolutely no remorse for those pervs who show up at a random house looking for sex with a minor. In fact, I think they should burn in Hell. This is a whole different story though. Chris Hansen and "To Catch a Predator" actually went to this guys house because he didn't show up at the rigged house. Then the guy killed himself. Is it Chris Hansen's Fault he killed himself? No. But I think it's time the show stopped. I think there are far to many legal issues for it to continue.

I heard that just about all of these guys are getting let off. Legally, none of that shit really holds up.

    Anyone have more info?

"The lawsuit said Conradt Jr., 57, an assistant county prosecutor, shot himself after he was accused of engaging in a sexually explicit online chat with an adult posing as a 13-year-old boy. It said a police officer at the scene of the shooting told a "Dateline" producer: "That'll make good TV.""

Maybe he shot himself because he realized he liked talking with 13 year old boys online.

If that were a legitimate excuse to kill yourself than half of r3v would be dead.

Going over to the guy's house to interogate him is pushing the issue WAY too far. For all we knew, this guy was contemplating it and then realized how sick thie would be and changed his mind.

My point exactly. The fact that they arrest men who do go to the houses borders on entrapment. To actually confront a man at his house, who did nothing wrong besides possibly letting his imagination get out of hand, is way out of line.

Maybe enough people have seen the show to the point where they are more alert and when they think that something is amiss in the slightest degree, they back off. And maybe they are running out of people to catch red handed.

And honestly I think that I have confronted a few chat room detectives in the past because I often talk very risque and use quite a bit of "adult" language when chatting. In the middle of the day when someone approaches me in the chat room with, "13/F/st. louis.. wanna chat?" I respond by saying, "You are 13? WTF! Why aren't you in school?" or if its late at night I ask, "Why aren't you in bed? Don't you have school tomorrow?"

And the silence that follows makes me think to myself that I probably got a detective thinking to himself, "Oh yeah.. why didn't I think of that?"

Good book, I actually just read it again like last week.

I actually was watching this show last night and some fuck showed up ready to fuck a 13 year old girl and was talking about how he had already hooked up with a 15 year old. People are effing sick.
                        Keep on Keepin' on.

Glenn Beck was a riot last night. The sister's attorney was a guest. Blame game.

Let's not forget, on the same episode Wednesday, the guy who showed up for the male decoy and when they were conversing online he talked about doing it RAW!
                          Now that was sick

Dangerous like fuck. Your initial response determines whether you'll be gonig to jail or not.

Soon they'll probably not say the age, cause you to meet up and arrest you cause the decoy was posing as underage.

Yeah.. actually I do go into chat rooms for specific topics, reasons, and discussions. I am not one of those morons that just sit there idly looking for cyber sex as I ask every person who enters the room "Age Sex Location" and waiting to see what kind of trouble I can get into. Sometimes I even go into the political debate chat rooms provided that the discussion is civil and everyone is being mature.

But speaking of predators, I decided to look up the sex offender registry just to see who is on the list in my area and I was shocked to see some of the guys that I went to school with are on there for everything from assult to kidnapping. If your particular state has an online registry, its worth checking out to see who is on it. You just might be surprised.
