Ok, so Dishnetwork doesnt wanna "lease" me out an HD DVR because Im already a customer, and my contract is up in 2 months. They want to charge me $499, but I get to keep it forever lol. So instead of me paying my $75 a month, plus the additional $20 a month for HD, and STAYING a customer, theyd rather the alternative. Which is me downgrading to the $19.99 a month package, and paying that for the next two months, while Im paying only $60 a month for Direct WITH HD. Then they lose my business all together.

Would you rather lease me the HD DVR, and keep me as a customer, than have me go to your competitor?

Seems like poor business to me, so fuck them. Anyone whos looking to switch do Dishnetwork, DONT.

I download top gear/fifth gear, and the speed world challenge series clips. that's all I need. the rest is pure junk.

Verizon has soul source monoply in my area on Cable/Internet/and phone so screw them I bucked my HOA and went with Direct TV and a DVR for less than their basic cable plan.

Verizon to their plus I get to pay and outrageous sum for their Fios service and while it's faster than DSL it's 3-4 times more money and they offer that just not in my HOA which pisses me off.

My HOA sucks ass. HOA's suck try to avoid if possible, hell they won't allow me to put AC in my garage...why do they give a fuck if I want to pay for it correct, because it's unsightly.

I called my cable company, said "I want the HD package". They said "sure", sent a guy out the next day with the new box, and charge me 6 bucks a month extra for it.

I'd put a checkmark down in the "cable" box.

I don't like satellite, I had it for a while, but it sucks when a cloud goes over my house or it rains, because then I don't have TV.

It is rather easy to steal though.

I did! lol. They said they had no other options, and they regret my choice lol. Such bullshit. I would go with Cable, but it doesnt have the NFL network here. Its bullshit charter cable, and not comcast.

And Dishnetwork wants a $300 deposit from me fo rtheir service lol.

they let us lease one, we've been a customer for 2-3 years now, and didn't have a problem getting it

IVe called 4 fucking times trying to pay a monthly fee for the HD reciever.

Now get this, to make it even better lol......
I called and tried to get an account in my name, rather than my girlfriends name. So I could get a new account, and start it with the reciever.... NOT ALLOWED.

They dont allow me to get a new account in my name, pay for her account, and not use hers. One is allowed per household.

Are they fucking TRYING to lose business?

I know my parents didn't pay $500 for it, that's just something they wouldn't do. Try maybe asking if you can add another box or something ie not a replacement box

I think that the problem with dish network is that they don't have any of their own people testing the customer experience as decoys. In any large corporation its very possible to overlook minor inconsistencies in the process. i.e.- They might have a special deal for new customers getting HD but nobody thought about how to migrate existing customers over. And then add to that robotic employees who are not encouraged or allowed to challenge the protocol, then you end up having a company that sucks when it comes to customer service.

I did ask to add. Im at my limit without being charged for a whole new reciever. The same with a regular DVR, I gotta pay for another one. Its just impossible. Im gonna have to give directv my $300 deposit I guess.
