    Yeah snap thats really crazy. I was on that bridge 24 hours before it collapsed.

          Yeah also the footage CNN was displaying this morning from a webcam apparantely where it showed a lady walking by casually then you saw her running back after the collapse.

            I smell a rat. I have not concluded that this was an act of terrorism but bridges dont just completely collapse suddenly after 40 years. There would have been enough significant warning signs. Even some of the bridges in my area that have been rebuilt or replaced gave some degree of advanced warning that the end was near. So I am guessing that someone might have done something inadvertently, like a big barge boat hitting one of the supports from down below or perhaps some other work or evaluation of the bridge might have caused something significant to weaken.

                i think bush was behind this.
                pull your head out of your ass. there arent even any supports in the water but thats beside the point. its going to come down to poor inspection and salt and minnesota weather

                    just imagine how scary it would have been to be driving and have the road drop completely out from under you. I like to think that I am in control of my life and that I could avoid most all disasters, but this is one where I would have been caught just like everyone else. Really sad thing to happen.

                        thats a very sad situation. whatever the cause of the failure was, I hope they figure out what it was. I hope everyone on here from that area is ok.
