    A couple new toys...

Team Associated TC4 and a remote/wireless flash trigger. Both are a lot of fun! Here are couple quick test shots:

Here is where the flash was sitting for those shots, to get an idea of how the wireless setup functions:

so explain this to a guy who knows nothing but can appreciate a good photo. the wireless flash can be set anywhere within range to provide different effects ???

edit, thats a rare coincidence that you got the flash to go off right when you took the pic. makes for a cool photo

Cool stuff - now just remember the mantra "I only fix what's broken, and without using aluminium or CF". That's the key to affordable R/C, at least from what I've found.

Cool toy - you have plans to race with a local organization or at a track? Locally there's a decent following for electric on-road, and there's a track on fresh asphalt in a warehouse. It's fun for laughs, but I am more into gas trucks, so my little stock TT-04 isn't even competitive.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

get some ABS pipe for the wheels if you want to have some fun with it. I bought a cheap TT-01 just for that. I also have a savage when I want something a little more versatile.

Yes sir. The wireless flash lets you put directional light on the subject, instead of the dear-in-the-headlights you usually get with a flash that is on the camera. The flash going off right when I took the photo is the point of the wireless. The camera sends an infrared signal to the flash to trigger it as you take the picture so it lights up the subject. It allows you to take shots like this, where the sky is a nice, dark, deep tone, and the subject is still well lit, instead of being in a dark shadow (silhouette):

It's actually got a tiny bit of toe-in still, it had like 3 degrees of toe-in before. The ackerman and the angle of the photo make it look like its got toe-out though. I'm not baller enough for that.

Thanks! Probably won't go brushless due to the price.

I am sticking to that mantra. I picked up some spare gears and stuff just so I don't get stranded at the track, but no hop ups yet. There is an awesome local track that is always free/open in a local park. I don't plan on racing, but lapping the track is a lot of fun.

I've got a set of Yokomo Zero-1 drift tires on Volk TE37 rims. They are fun. I really suck at it though. I'm trying to get better.
