long story short, i got kicked off the team for pictures my coach found on facebook of me getting shit faced. a few months early on a forum board I bragged that I had run a qualifying time for the conference meet while being dead hungover. it was a site that alot of runners/coaches in our conference frequent. i cant remember, but i think the thread was about alcohol effecting running performance.

i was always the showboat/gangster/not give a shit runner. I wouldnt conform to his dumbass policies or be molded into the perfect college runner, so i got the shit can.

I would Argue that shit. Believe it or not. What really is the definition of "hungover"? I mean I guess some people might mistakenly draw a conclusion that hungover means you partied balls out getting fucked up like a Viking the night before but is that the way you using the word? I didn't think so, I realized that you meant you we're running till the wee hours the night before and the next morning you were hungover from all the exhaustion of practicing so hard for the race that morning. What kind of dickhead coach would kick you off a team for being so dedicated.

I'd push it hard that you were treated unfairly and get that ass smuggler fired, maybe even some jail time.

fanzotti, the fact is that I dont care to fight the whole issue. I wasnt having fun on the team anymore. they can kick me off the team, but I will be a runner for life.

I was pissed about the situation initially too. Actually, i got kicked off on Nov 1, and found out about a month ago my coaches son ratted me out. (Hes on the same team as me, runs the same events as me, and is slower than me. Coincidence, i think not)

Here are a couple of me about 5 years ago when I was a sophomore in HS. Fastest time was a 18:59 WOOT. I wish I had trained harder now, I was also like you. I wasn't a big fan of my coach and I think its fair to say he felt the same about me.

Yeah, I'm with you. I was just fucking around. I wouldn't want to run on a team, not into the whole running practice thing. Glad you enjoy it enough that you've decided to be a runner for life though.

I definately would paint your coaches kids car pink with a roller though. Everywhere. If the inside of the muffler doesn't have pink paint on it you still have work to do.
