If I was in the market for expensive sports cars I would buy a tesla in a heartbeat. I do not think they are impractical at all, I drive an hour and a half a day into the city witch is less than 80 miles round trip, tesla is rated at 245 miles between charges, the only thing that would be impractical is if your going on a vacation.
