The other three looked exactly the same and were sitting in a Jeep Cherokee with TJ registration stickers on the back window. Hmm, I wonder what was in those tires? ;)

Tin foil glued to the inside? I was thinking someone was hiding drugs in there.

Bingo. I used to deliver parts to a California state government garage, and the techs would get in cars that were snagged by the feds coming across the border. They would have to rip them apart down to every bolt looking for drugs; tires were the most popular hiding spot. The runners would either glue the packages to the inside or fill up an inner tube with whatever, and put that inside the tire.

The cars seized by the feds are usually stripped before they're sent to the junkyard, though......

We had to go into secondary inspection once and they tore apart my buddy's Neon. Didn't find anything and kinda slapped it back together and sent us on our way, poor guy that thing already had rattles and squeeks comming from everywhere now his whole dash was hanging off while it rattled itself apart.

Went to a Street Rod show and this was there. Not too for sure why it was there since the cut off date was 1967. But i thought you guys would enjoy seeing it.
