I took another group of kids down to the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School again last weekend. Saw some cool stuff. They had the latest F-18 Super hornet versions, the Growlers going through flight test (which apparently fly better and faster than their bomb-dropping brethren) and we also got to tour some V-22 Ospreys. Unfortunately, I could only take pictures of the test pilot hanger, which had a 1947 MiG-15, a DeHaviland Beaver, a bunch of T-38s, and some F-18s. And... they let us climb into the cockpit of most of them. The F-18 felt good... I just hope I get the opportunity.sigpic89 M3

Thanks man, I like them a lot.
Here's a continuation of the last work-related cell pic. This is the third network distribution closet we're finishing up, we just finished pulling all of the wire to it on Wednesday.
Those 2 big zip-tied bundles going up the wall? That's what I did ALL DAY TODAY. 48 Cat6 cables per bundle, tied every 6 inches or so. Every one has to be perfectly straight, starting from the inside out. No kinks, no twisting, perfect.
Here's where they go over the top across the ladder racks, over to where they'll drop back down to be landed to patch panels. You can see the first bundle completed behind the big mess. Going up and around that corner to lay down on top while straightening that bundle is really fun:
This is how much I still have left to do, and you can't even see it all. There's 3 more of those big 4" conduits coming out of the ceiling, 2 of which have about 100 Cat6 each, so I've got about 4 more of those bundles to do. The orange cable in the foreground of the pic is fiber optic, inside flex conduit:
The front of the patch panel racks, with my two bundles in the background, and you can see one of the three 4" conduits with the fiber optic flex coming out:

325Projectz, Kruzen - This is the hospital in Prineville, Oregon. It's being retrofitted by us for data, and possibly for VOIP. One big giant retro job. It SUCKS. But working in the closets and terminating the jacks is fun. We're also doing the removal of ALL the old low-voltage wiring. Which we get to keep, and sell for scrap after the job is done, by the pound. We're talking probably a few grand.
