Caught this in Valley Village, CA. Gave the guy a thumbs up and he was grinning Ear to Ear :). It's always nice seeing people that really love their e30s.

Valley Village is right off the 101/Laurel Canyon, just north of Studio City. Let's grab some brews some time... I'm always down for drinks.
not too shabby of shot considering it's a cell snap of a dirty car! used my new LGenv2, as with all of these, and within the last week-2weeks
My girl surprised me with tickets to the PPIHC (Pike's Peak International Hill Climb) "Race to the Clouds" last weekend. and here i thought i was being dragged down to CO Springs for some sort of obligation... LOL, she's a crafty one ;)
these are the closest 2 hairpins from where we hung out for most of the day. from our vantage point ontop of "the Devil's Playground" i had a clear view of 6 rather close asphalt hairpins and a large section of the lower dirt (packed so hard it's just like rough pavement, the 30 had no complaints bout it whatso ever... except all the damn traffic!
i guess the word is that even more is getting paved before next year, so the old champ will have a good chance at breaking the new 10:01 record. ...that's right, 10 minutes, 1 second, set on monday. we were there on the offical race day, sunday, when the suzuki XL7 ran a 10:18, definately off-pace from his record last year of 10:03.
...i see you, little black 4door iX from oregon with sleeping driver
this is a common sight up here in the beating heart of the country, also known as Colorado, the Rocky Mountains. high altitude testing my ass. where this picture was taken it's only something like 9k above sea level, and they rarely go much higher,....even though it's surrounded by far better roads than these boring straight shot, wimpy, down the basin roads/"highways"
welcome to Blur-Mesa where the water's cold, the speed limit is too low, the roads are almost windy enough, and there's enough roadkill deer and elk to feed a few families all winter long. hehe
overlooking the beginning of the black canyon of the gunnison. ...that road over there on the far rim, that you can't really see cause the sun, the north rim, THAT is a fun drive! ...this was taken at ~70mph, same as the last picture ^ but there is no blur and everything in the foreground is super clear... go figure. :shrugs:
this is how you get rid of an unwanted shell... i did think about making a couch or a bbq trailer, but fuck it, this was just too entertaining, we even had a flatbed at our disposal but just wanted to see if it could be done this way, :pimp:
gotta make your friends do most of the work though to fully appreciate the experience ;)
any1 want to come pick up an e36 hood or trunk? how about a totally awesome car-shell-dolly? very useful when your shell has no wheels!!!! i'll sell the dolly to someone for $300+ shipping/pickup
