It was too long to do with 1 rope, so I had to gear up and jump the knot while rappelling.

I know its been said often and it sounds like bullshit, but its the humidity.
I would rather be in 120 degrees in dry ass New Mexico than 100 in wet ass S GA. Once I had to work in Waycross (about an hour or so north of the Florida border and it was so fucking humid EVERYTHING as just damp all of the time. Even in the hotel room the AC couldnt keep up. It would keep the room cool but it couldnt dry the air. You could see the drains for the AC outside and it was just a constant stream of water from the condensation and even then the room was foggy. It was that way in every building I went in.
Thankfully Atlanta seems to be somewhat drier.Im now E30less.

Nothing BS about it, your body cools itself by sweating and evaporating. If it is humid out then the sweat just sits there and doesn't evaporate and you stay overheated, same reason swamp coolers only work in low humidity.Comment
