I can't imagine how shitty that must be for everyone involved. We've all done stupid stuff, sometimes it catches up. Now he's paying for it by seeing his friend and his friends family suffer, and jail time. Tough way to learn a lesson...

Hulk seems like the kind of father who would make his son serve the sentence as a lesson, tough love style. I bet he does most of the 8 months, if not all.

I think he will be in for 21 days and released for good behavior. Seems the celebrities get the easy way out. Any of us and we would get the full sentence, which would be double what he received.

I don't think FL courts are as pansy assed as the ones in Cali that let these people go.

I have no idea if they allow 2-for-1/3-for-1 credit for good time or work details, etc.

Also may make a difference if he is being committed to the custody of the state or staying in the county.

I practice in Ohio and Kentucky.

In Ohio, if you are doing "local time" all of the early release credits are available to you. If you end up with the State Dept. of Corrections 8 months means 8 months.

In Kentucky, the amount of time is subject to a lot more reduction, even at the state level.

Crazy. It is amazing to watch how 1 bad decision can impact so many. Is his friend ok now?

Agreed. He is a star and he spent time in jail... Big deal right there.

Star or not, that is irrelevant. But like Smokn said, hes NO fucking star. If his dad wasnt famous, no one would have heard of that little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles. I feel badly for the kid with the missing skull, I do. But really, I bet that kid knew they were going racing, so he is just as responsible. I love how it says hes leaving PRISON. Id imagine its county jail, not prison. That peice of shit was already cocky as it was, now hes going to think he pretty much got off free (which he did), and is untouchable. As far as him paying for it financially, no. HIS DAD IS PAYING. Fuck that loser.

several of the local guys in Miami had a chance to meet him at a local meet we had. Everyone that was there will back him up as he was not full of himself and did not go pealing out with the supra with the other BMW guys that got the meet closed down. There is a posted link in e46fanatics about that meet.

Nick was level headed and pleasant to talk to. He was more interested in the BMWs there than showing off his Supra. People make mistakes and he made a big one. He is paying for it every day hes alive. Im sure it eats him up inside as well. Dont pass judgment unless you are free of sin. He did his time, he and his family are footing the bills. Enough said!

Funny as I stated just above. I did not see one cocky bone in that kid when we hung out with him the day of the meet. He was level headed and nice as hell. He did not want to be known as Hogans son, but just another kid.

Maybe if he seemed like a sincere person, who was genuinely apologetic, people wouldnt be so hard on him. You have his waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles mom and his dad talking about how its affecting Nicks life, their life, blah blah blah. They feel more sorry for how they are being effected, not the friend. He can be the coolest person in the world, really. Maybe they should spend some money on a decent publicist, so he comes off that way to the common folk (me).
