So I take it your sister refused to whore herself out on craigslist for you, then?
Car insurance cancelled

Shit.. My mom tried that same car bullshit with me when I was 16-17. Except I PAID for the car and the insurance. After I graduated we fought it out, she took my car (since her name was on the title) and I was out on my ass at the age of 17. I was so happy to be free I didn't give a shit about the car.
Working full time at Sonic and hitching rides everywhere until I saved up $300 to buy an extrmemly used 1977 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.
I had no insurance (since TN did not require it at the time) and it got 10MPG but it ran and got me to and from work.
Point being.. if you are of legal age then get fucking job (get 2 if you have to) and cut out the bullshit you don't need. Its amazing how much you can accomplish when you learn to provide for yourself.
Once I made it on my own and my mother realized her Jedi money tricks no longer worked on me we were able to mend our relationship. I learned how to become my own independent person.Comment

With all things considered, I am thinking back to an earlier post where you said that your dad put you out after complaining -ahem- voicing your opinion on cleaning the basement. The fact that you came back to the computer to tell all of us that this happened to you shows me that your priorities are a bit skewed. I mean if I thought that my parents were going to put me out of the house, the last thing I would be thinking about is some stupid R3V website.
This is not to attack you or to pick on you or to insult you or to hurt your feelings, however, it is a direct indication that you are not quite an adult yet and you still need to listen to your parents and do exactly what they tell you to do cheerfully.Comment

$250 per month is waaaay too much for a beat 318is .
Especially if the policy is in your moms name , she is probaly making you pay more to cover their other cars .
Get a liability policy in your own name , hell you can even get a cheap "non owne" policy since that POS is not in your name and you'll be covered in anything you drive thats not titled to you .
Oh and pics of your mom ?Comment

Pretty certain that differs according to location, I had my car and insurance completely under my name at the age of 16...Comment

shit, my insurance is 120 a month and I've got SR-22 on my record.
But seriously, if you're 19 then either suck it up and kiss ass, or move out and do it for yourself. I personally left home as soon as I graduated high school. I just wanted freedom and responsibility.

What is an SR-22? I was asked that the last time I did some vehicle leasing for my business and I was clueless as to what they were talking about. They said, "if you don't know what that is, then don't worry about it. The question does not apply to you."Comment

Basically, it eliminates half of the insurance companies right away. Shitty, but it's a small price to pay for the stupid shit I used to do.
