I didnt say Michigan deserved to win anywhere, did I? Because Im pretty sure I didnt. 2 blocked kicks is HUGE.... but lucky. If youre gonna put your game on the line based on blocked kicks, you will lose more than you win. In this particular game, App state did win 3/3 of the game. Lets take some things in to account:

    1) Its App state, 1-AA rival
    2) Its week 1
    3) Two blocked kicks

If this match up happens in week 5, it wouldnt be close. Id be an idiot to say that Michigan didnt get beat in the game, and deserved to win. But you and whoever else, would be an idiot to say Appalachian State is a better team than Michigan.

"Big house" didnt get beat. "The big house" is where the game is played.

yes, it was great to see big house beat by a school like App State, but that's only because it shouldn't have been close if Mich came to play.

    GO Big Ten football!

Jflip, just a simple question- Have you ever played a down of football in your life? From your comments I personally beleive you have not. There is very little luck involved in this game. You say that two blocked kicks is nothing? Look over the results of games in which a kick is blocked, the blocking team wins almost 90% of the time. Special teams is 1/3 of the game and trust me you only have to win 2/3 of the game to come out on top. In this case, it can be said that App State won 3/3 of this game and in my opinion did so over a power house team. Was this luck? Hell no, this was a smash mouth team that wasn't intimated and played their balls off. Ask anyone who truely understands the game, App. State rightfully won this game, no luck involved.

Went to the VA Tech East Carolina game. Went early for the college gameday festivities, sat up in the press box, watched the pregame memorial for the Victims of April 16. The day couldnt have been better. Then Sean Glennon took the field. What a monumental letdown....

    Go VOLS!

(even though we just got fucked by the Bears)

In all honesty our defense needs to step it up a notch this season now that we might have a decent running game.

God I love college football season.

Are you a Michigan fan? You have to be, cause you sound just like one. Always have bullshit excuses for the fucktards up north. Michigan got beat by App State and I think App State could pull some more upsets if they had the chance. 1-AA doesn't matter.....Tell that too Michigan haha. I have met many Michigan fans some are fans that hate to see them lose but don't make millions of excuses of why they lost. There are the other ones that will rub it in someones face when they win but want no part of them when they lose.

Maybe Michigan will make the top 50 this week.

I've been dealing with people like you for years, that claim " I-AA football doesn't count" One would think that with App beating Michigan yesterday, you would finally realize that App can compete with anyone in the nation. proving it yesterday. Now, if ASU was actually in the Big 10, would we win all our games? probably not, but I really think that with the extra funding and 22 more scholarship players, we would still be extremely competitive. Why try to play the FCS (formerly I-AA) down? Obviously we aren't as inferior as you think.
It takes more than a lucky win to join the illustrious big 10. Most of our teams have more than just football to fall back on.

Michigan: Football, hockey, baseball, hopefully basketball again.
    Ohio State: Football and basketball
    Wisconsin: Football and basketball
Illinois: basketball (no football to be heard of)
    Michigan State: Football and Basketball

Purdue, Penn State, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern (academics), and Indiana... They all have either football or basketball history.

One lucky win doesnt mean you have even the right to be in the conversation of being in the Big 10. App State gave their A game, Big blue gave a D game. Michigan beats quality opponents all year long, with a few cupcakes. All app state plays all year long are cupcakes, except in this instance. And this instance was just a money grab, where they happened to win.

Here, I'll correct my typo, and rearrange some punctuation if its too difficult to understand....

"The fact they played ABOVE and beyond anything they ever should have (like you said), means they got lucky."

And I'll explain that part even. App state played their best possible football. Michigan played their worst possible football. So App state is lucky the circumstances are what they were.

I'm no Michigan fan, I think for the most part they're a bunch of arrogant assholes but I feel pretty confident saying that if that game was played 20 more times Michigan would win every time. The fact is they showed up thinking they would easily blow out App. State and were knocked on their heels when ASU came out with the intensity they did. Did App State earn they win? yes. Did Michigan deserve to lose? yes. But you are acting like Appalachian State is a better team and that's simply ridiculous they just took advantage of luck and circumstances. Still, kudos for coming out and taking the Wolverines down a peg.

EDIT: What I'm saying is it's cool that they won but don't make more of it than it is.
