What bank do you guys use?

True, but if you do that, you still want to have a local bank where you can go in, sit down with the manager, look them in the eye, and ask them to resolve whatever issue you have. Banking abroad is OK if you are the kind of person who only cares about going to work, getting paid, and then making it last until the next payday. But as for myself I like to build personal credibility with the bank manager so that any time I need a personal loan I have someone who can vouch for me. Plus, there are times when I personally screw up one of my accounts and I get hit with all kinds of fees and penalties. Nobody on the other end of an 800 number can help me the same way that a customer service rep inside of the bank can. I can walk into my branch tomorrow and say to the rep, "Hey, I messed up. Can you straighten this out for me?" and they gladly say, "Yes sir, Mr. Scotty!"

i use my credit union for personal and wells fargo for business. all banks will fuck you sooner or later. its just a matter of how often and with how much severity. my kids prefer the bank of dad as the rates are better

I used to bank with BofA but i no longer live in mass and their locations are not as convenient in Ny. I recently switched over to Chase and have been really happy since. BofA treated me really well, solid online banking, customer service was great and I would recommend them to anybody who lives in New England since they run that area of the united states with banking.
